Foxes have been helping out the rock stars of the world by designing ear defenders for the children to watch them in concert without damaging their ears! To understand more about the task in hand, we explored a range of instruments in a hands-on way with Mrs Lopez from the Dorset Music Service. We discovered different ways in which sound is made and how to change the pitch and volume. Afterwards, we made our own instruments using recyclable materials - perhaps this is one way of being environmentally-friendly scientists!
